Mongolian athlete places 70th at Sochi

On the sixth day of the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympic Games, Mongolian athlete Ch.Otgontsetseg took part in the cross-country skiing on Thursday February 13th. 

Ch.Otgontsetseg, cross country skier, competed in the women`s 10 km classic race  and completed the course at the Laura Cross-Country Ski & Biathlon Center in 38:43.1 finishing in 70th place. In the women’s 10km classic event 75 athletes competed this year for the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympic Games. 

In the women`s 10 km classic course Poland`s Justina Kowalczyk won the gold medal with a time of 28:17.8, defeating silver medalist Sweden`s Charlotte Kalla (28:36.2), and bronze winner, Norway`s Therese Johaug (28:46.1). 

Now one of the two athletes from Mongolia who are attending the Sochi Games, Ch.Otgontsetseg, has finished her event. International master of cross country skiing, B.Byambadorj from Mongolia will compete in the men`s 15 km classic course on Friday.
